Long held as the battle between computers Apple vs Pc is one of the most common question among new computer shoppers. Which one is best for you? While I can’t tell you which one is the best fit for you as an owner of both an Apple Mac mini and various PC’s, I can tell you I enjoy having both! Instead of deciding which one is best to own, I like to approach this query with focusing on it’s purpose. Let me start by describing my personal situation. I have six computers in my house (yes I’m a techno-nerd and no I’m not rich, in case you were wondering). Each serves a specific purpose to accommodate my family of five. Our most heavily used computer is the Mac Mini in our living room and acts as our media center computer. It is connected to a 50 inch High Definition Plasma TV and is used to watch DVD‘s, play music in itunes, surf the web and watch Web TV. The Mac Mini does a great job at all of these things while keeping a noiseless and minimal footprint in our living room. The second most popular computer in our house is an older Dell Insprion desktop It is a communally located in the kitchen. The kids will use it for homework, internet surfing or gameplay. It is also a second option when someone else is busy on the Mac Mini. The other four computers are located in each of the kids bedrooms and my laptop travels with me throughout the house and to & from work. The need for these computers in each of the kids rooms is so that they do not fight over internet access nor interrupt my work flow while I’m working from home.
